About Kerkyra Lines

Kerkyra Lines is a Corfu company with, in its own words, purely Corfiot interests. It started in passenger shipping in 2010 and has grown into the operator with the fullest timetable around the island: car ferries between Igoumenitsa and Corfu Town, passenger boats between Corfu Town and Paxos, a line from Igoumenitsa to Paxos and the small ferry to the Diapontia islands. The company has offices in Corfu, Igoumenitsa and Paxos and sells its tickets online as e-tickets with a discount per route, at the port offices and through agencies.

The ships

The fleet numbers twelve ships. The Igoumenitsa crossing is worked by conventional car ferries - Ionian Express, Kerkyra Express, Agia Theodora, Corfu Spirit, Nikolaos, Ano Hora II, Alkinoos, Kerkyra and Menekratis. The largest and newest is the Ionian Express, in service since December 2025: 100 metres long, 698 passengers and 150 vehicles, with a crossing time of about 1 hour 10 minutes. The Paxos boats are passenger vessels: the Paxos Island, a 35-metre hydrofoil for 116 passengers, and the Calypso, 26 metres for 141 passengers, added in 2025. The Diapontia islands are served by the Evdokia, a 44-metre car ferry for 150 passengers and 20 vehicles.

Routes from this site

Igoumenitsa - Corfu is the company's main line, with up to 15 departures a day in each direction between the mainland port and the New Port in Corfu Town and a crossing of 70 to 90 minutes depending on the ship. Corfu - Paxos links Corfu Town with Gaios in one to just under two hours depending on the vessel, several times a day in season. The Diapontia islands line leaves Corfu Town three times a week and calls at Ereikoussa, Mathraki and Othoni in turn, in about 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours. The company also sails Igoumenitsa - Paxos direct. All departures are in the timetable.

Check-in, vehicles and pets

Foot passengers should be at the ship 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, vehicles in the loading area one hour before. Tickets are personal, non-transferable and valid only for the booked sailing; reduced fares require the proving document at boarding, and hand luggage up to 50 kilos travels free. Cars, motorhomes and motorcycles cross on the Igoumenitsa car ferries and, with 20 spaces, on the Evdokia; the Paxos boats carry passengers only. Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles may board only with a battery charge of up to 40 per cent, must not be charged on board and are reported to the crew an hour before departure. Pets travel in the designated areas of the ship; small pets may join their owners in the lounges in a carrier or cage, or muzzled and vaccinated.

Tickets

Fares are per passenger with reduced fares for children and other entitled groups, and the vehicle is priced by category. A ticket can be changed free of charge up to an hour before departure; cancellations are refunded in full up to 14 days before sailing, then in steps of 75 and 50 per cent, and not at all within 12 hours of departure. The binding amount for your date appears in the booking step, and the departures of all Kerkyra Lines routes are in the timetable.
