Grimaldi Lines is the Mediterranean passenger brand of the Grimaldi Group, a Naples-based shipping group founded in 1947 and still entirely owned by the Grimaldi family. The group's core business is the sea transport of cars, rolling cargo and containers; its passenger ferries sail under several brands, Grimaldi Lines in the Mediterranean, Minoan Lines on the Ancona routes to Greece, Finnlines in the Baltic and Trasmed to the Balearic Islands. For Corfu this matters in one practical way: the ship on the Brindisi run in 2026, the Kydon Palace, belongs to the Minoan Lines fleet but is booked and checked in as a Grimaldi Lines sailing.
The ships to Corfu
Three ships appear on the Corfu routes in the 2026 season. The Florencia and the Venezia share the long Ancona run; the Florencia is a 186-metre ferry of 26,302 gross tons for around 950 passengers, with 129 inside and outside cabins with two or four berths, 164 armchairs, 2,540 lane metres of garage and a service speed of 23.5 knots, and carries an à la carte restaurant, a self-service, cafeterias, a shop and an outdoor kiosk in summer. The Kydon Palace sails from Brindisi: 214 metres, 37,550 gross tons, around 1,700 passengers, 231 cabins including superior cabins and cabins for reduced mobility, 634 standard and business armchairs, two restaurants, a pool snack bar, shops and a kennel. Satellite Wi-Fi is sold in packages on board and can be limited by weather.

Ancona - Corfu takes about 19 hours 30 minutes, overnight, with two sailings a week in the 2026 timetable. Brindisi - Corfu is the short crossing, about six hours overnight from the Costa Morena terminal, three times a week in 2026. Both are summer services with the last published calls in September; outside the season the Grimaldi ships from Ancona and Brindisi serve Igoumenitsa on the mainland, and the domestic ferry covers the last leg to Corfu. Check-in, vehicles and pets
Check-in for the Greece routes is done by Grimaldi Lines' own staff in the Maritime Station of each port, and the deadline is the same for everyone: no later than two hours before departure, with or without a vehicle, ticket and valid identity document in hand for every passenger including minors. Vehicles are booked in the exact category that matches them, one per passenger, with the overall dimensions including roof boxes, bicycle racks and tow bars; vehicles used commercially travel as cargo. Bicycles and electric scooters are added to the reservation, pushed to the terminal by hand through their own lane and stowed in the garage for the whole crossing; their embarkation is free. LPG vehicles are reported at boarding and parked in a dedicated area. Pets travel when included in the booking: dogs and cats in the kennels or, with the Pet in Cabin service, in the owner's cabin, leashed and muzzled on the outer decks, other small animals in the owner's carrier; guide dogs are exempt.

Grimaldi Lines sells deck passage, numbered armchairs and cabins, with the vehicle and pet booked on top, and offers regular reductions for the Greece routes: a discount on return tickets, senior and youth fares, children's discounts and the seasonal "Camper & Meals" bundle for motorhomes. Standard fares can be cancelled in writing against a penalty that rises in steps as departure approaches and becomes the full fare from the day before; special fares are generally not refundable, and a ticket whose date or line has already been changed twice can no longer be cancelled.
