Getting to the port and the terminal
The Greece ferries leave Brindisi from the Costa Morena terminal in the industrial port (Contrada Pandi), not from the harbour in the town centre. By car, follow the SS16 or SS379 to the "Lecce / Zona Industriale / Porto" exit, then the signs "Grecia / Porto / Costa Morena". Before the port entrance there is a service and refreshment area from which a free shuttle runs to the passenger terminal in summer and continues to the ship after check-in. Without a car, the STP city bus stops at Molo Costa Morena and connects the terminal with the railway station and the airport. Grimaldi Lines' ticket office at the terminal is run by Discovery Shipping.
Check-in and departure
Check-in for the Greece routes is done by Grimaldi Lines' staff in the Maritime Station, and the deadline is two hours before departure for every passenger, with or without a vehicle. Bring the ticket and a valid identity document for everyone travelling, children and minors included. The ship sails late in the evening, so check-in falls in the late evening as well; vehicles then line up for loading, foot passengers board on the crew's instructions, and the garages stay closed for the crossing.
On board
The Kydon Palace, on the run in 2026, belongs to the Minoan Lines fleet of the Grimaldi Group: a 214-metre ship for around 1,700 passengers with 231 cabins and 634 armchairs. Accommodation runs from deck passage through standard and business armchairs to inside and outside cabins with two or four berths and larger superior cabins; on board are an à la carte restaurant, a self-service, cafeterias, a pool snack bar, shops and a kennel. For a six-hour night crossing a numbered armchair is the sensible minimum, a cabin the comfortable choice.
Vehicles, bicycles and pets
Cars, motorcycles, vans and motorhomes are booked with the ticket in the exact vehicle category; dimensions count including roof boxes, bicycle racks and tow bars, and each passenger may bring one vehicle. Bicycles and electric scooters have to be added to the reservation, are pushed to the terminal through their own lane and stay in the garage. LPG vehicles are reported at boarding and parked separately. Pets are welcome when included in the booking: dogs and cats travel in the kennel or, with the Pet in Cabin service, in the cabin, walk the outer decks leashed and muzzled, and other small animals stay in the owner's carrier; bring the health documents.
Arrival and onward travel
The ship docks early in the morning at the New Port in Corfu Town, on the coastal road that becomes Ethnikis Antistaseos street beside the port, where Grimaldi Lines' agent Patras Travel Shipping Agency has its office at number 4. The old town is a short taxi ride away, buses to the rest of the island leave from the town, and the domestic ferries to Igoumenitsa and Paxos use the same port area. The return from Corfu to Brindisi is a separate sailing; both directions are in the timetable.
Tickets and fares
The fare depends on the date, the accommodation and the vehicle; the binding amount appears in the booking step. Grimaldi Lines' standard fares can be cancelled against a penalty that rises as departure approaches, while special fares are generally not refundable; return tickets to Greece, senior and youth reductions and the seasonal motorhome bundle are the operator's regular offers.
