Getting to the port and the terminal
Ancona's ferry terminal, the Nuova Stazione Marittima, lies at the foot of the old town on the harbour's inner basin. On board
The crossing takes about 19 hours 30 minutes and runs overnight, which makes the accommodation question the main one. Grimaldi Lines sells deck passage, numbered armchairs in air-conditioned lounges and inside or outside cabins with two or four berths and a private shower room. The Florencia, one of the two ships on the run in 2026, carries around 950 passengers with 129 cabins and 164 armchairs; on board are an à la carte restaurant, a self-service restaurant, cafeterias, a shop and, in summer, an outdoor kiosk. Satellite Wi-Fi is available as a paid service and can be limited by weather.
Vehicles, bicycles and pets
Cars, motorcycles, vans and motorhomes are booked with the ticket in the category that matches the vehicle; the dimensions count including roof boxes, bicycle racks and tow bars, and each passenger may travel with one vehicle. Bicycles and electric scooters have to be added to the reservation, are walked to the terminal through their own lane and stay stowed in the garage. LPG vehicles are reported to the staff at boarding and parked in a dedicated area. Pets are welcome when included in the booking: dogs and cats use the ship's kennels or the Pet in Cabin service, walk the outer decks leashed and muzzled, and other small animals stay in the owner's carrier. Arrival and onward travel
The ship docks at the New Port in Corfu Town, on the coastal road that becomes Ethnikis Antistaseos street next to the port; Grimaldi Lines' agent, Patras Travel Shipping Agency, has its office at number 4. The old town is a short taxi ride away, buses to the north and south of the island leave from the town, and the domestic ferries to Igoumenitsa and Paxos use the same port area, so a connection to the mainland or on to Paxos on the same day is realistic.
