About Ventouris Ferries
Ventouris Ferries is a Greek ferry company based in Piraeus that has sailed the southern Adriatic between Italy, Greece and Albania since 1978. Its network starts in Bari: the year-round line to Durres in Albania and the summer routes to Corfu and Igoumenitsa, some of which continue to Sami on Kefalonia. On board the company runs restaurants and a self-service with Mediterranean cooking, cabins and air seats, shops, Wi-Fi via satellite and pet-friendly areas. Tickets are sold online and through the port agents, who also issue the boarding passes at check-in.
The ships
Four conventional ferries make up the fleet. On the Greece - Italy routes, and so on the Corfu crossing, sail the Rigel V, for 1,070 passengers and 550 vehicles with 450 cabins and interiors fully renovated in 2025, and the Rigel VII, for 1,500 passengers and 550 vehicles with 500 cabins and interiors renovated in 2020. The larger Rigel II and Rigel III, for 2,400 and 2,100 passengers, are the flagships of the Italy - Albania routes. Accommodation on every ship runs from deck passage through air seats to cabins in several classes, from the basic C category to LUX.

Bari - Corfu is the Ventouris route on this site: about 10 hours overnight from the port of Bari to the New Port in Corfu Town, three sailings a week in the summer timetable, with the 2026 calls ending in early September. The same ships continue to Igoumenitsa on the mainland, so outside the Corfu season the way from Bari leads via Igoumenitsa and the domestic ferry. The departures for both are in the timetable.
Check-in, vehicles and pets
Passengers should be in the embarkation area at least two hours before departure; check-in closes one hour before sailing, and with a motorhome, caravan or other large vehicle the company recommends three hours. The boarding pass is collected from the port agents at check-in against the booking number and a valid identity document; drivers also show the vehicle's documents. Vehicles are parked in pre-arranged positions in the garage and cannot be reached during the crossing, and staying inside a motorhome on the voyage is prohibited. Pets travel free of charge in the kennel area, in cages of various sizes that must be booked in advance; they are not allowed in bars, restaurants and other indoor areas or in the vehicles, stay with the owner on deck and need the pet passport with a valid rabies vaccination and microchip identification. Assistance dogs are exempt. Luggage is not limited by weight.
Tickets
The fare is made up of the passenger fare by accommodation class, the vehicle by category and cabin supplements; children travel at reduced fares, and a return ticket is discounted. Cancellation refunds fall in steps as departure approaches, from a full refund far in advance to half the fare in the last week, and stop 24 hours before sailing; a no-show is not refunded. The binding amount for your date appears in the booking step.
